Safe Sound Singing
With Nina

Hi, I’m Nina—a vocal coach, singer, and songwriter with a passion for helping singers develop their voice and confidence. I create a calm, light-hearted atmosphere where you will feel safe to: make mistakes/try new thing/have fun singing! I believe we do our best creative work when we feel safe and sound.
A bit about myself: I hold a Bachelor's degree from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and I’m a certified teacher in Modern Vocal Training, a method based on Speech Level Singing. (This method focuses on connecting your speaking voice with your singing voice, allowing for a more natural, healthy, and expressive vocal technique—where the goal is to achieve a balanced voice.)
As an experienced pop vocalist, I bring years of performance insight to my teaching. I’ve performed on stages across the UK and Norway, including the Norwegian Eurovision finale, and I’m currently active as an artist in London, performing and releasing original music. I’ve also taught musical theatre for several years, helping ambitious students develop their vocal skills, stage presence, and emotional connection to music.
Before moving into teaching, I worked for a charity for several years as a 1:1 support worker for neurodiverse adults living independently. What I loved most about this role was being able to change how someone felt, offer positive perspective, encourage and inspire people into action. Sometimes with only 30 minutes to hand! Eventually, I decided to marry these two worlds—singing and supporting—and channel that experience into teaching. Now, I specialise in working with singing students who are neurodiverse, navigating mental health challenges or that are particularly anxious about their singing.
I work with singers of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build more confidence, refine your technique, or reconnect with your voice, I’m here to support you every step of the way. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Just a quick note: Although I have several years of experience as a support worker under my belt, I’m not a medical professional. I have professional training in neurodiversity and mental health, along with personal experience. I also hold an enhanced DBS check.
